DESCRIPTION

The iconic Elliptical Table Rod Base, inspired by Charles and Ray Eames, comprises simple yet effective geometrical forms. Designed in 1951, this classic is also referred to as the “Surfboard” due to its shape and is an artistic alternative to a standard coffee table.

The low-set, mid-century design can be combined perfectly with contemporary furniture or older pieces. It is ideally placed in front of a long sofa or group of chairs or can function as a striking standalone piece. The elegant elliptical top of the table is supported by shaped steel rods welded together – a recognisable feature of Eameses work.
